Edwards backs mandatory preventive care

"It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care," he (John Edwards) told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. "If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK."
Edwards said his mandatory health care plan would cover preventive, chronic and long-term health care. The plan would include mental health care as well as dental and vision coverage for all Americans. "The whole idea is a continuum of care, basically from birth to death," he said.

The above words of U.S. Presidential candidate John Edwards display all the fundamental features of a socialist dictatorship mindset:
1) People must not be allowed to freely choose whether or not they want a program.
2) People must not be allowed to decide for themselves if and when they want use the program.
3) Free will must be taken from people from birth to death.
4) People who do not comply will be subject to the lethal force of government.
What kind of doctor would want to provide health care to people who are being forced? "Good morning, Mrs. Jones. I understand you don't want to be here and you hate doctors, but after all there are only three inescapable things in life: death, taxes, and visits to a doctor."
Who would want to trust their health to a doctor who would work under such a system? What kind of person would want a politician or government bureaucrat messing with their health choices in the first place?
What if you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and honor first and foremost the healing power of the Holy Spirit? What if you understand, as Jesus teaches, that illness is chosen and can easily disappear when perfect health is chosen with total heart and soul prayer in the presence of Jesus Christ? "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your belief has healed you." (Matt. 9:22)
Who is going to pay for this cradle to grave preventative care as well as mental care? Mental care? Even the best psychiatrist would burn up hundreds of thousands of dollars just trying to get one man, John Edwards, to see reality ... and never succeed.
What would happen to the U.S. economy when more and more people decide it's not worth it to be productive: "Screw it! Why should I work my butt off paying to cure John Edward's insane choices?"
And of course it is easy to point to John Edwards because he wears his idiocy and hypocrisy where they are obvious. But isn't it true that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are offering up pretty much the same nonsense?
Here is what Jesus Christ teaches in his revelation for the 21st Century, A Course in Miracles, about "mental care:"
It can be helpful to point out to a patient where he is heading, but the point is lost unless he can change his direction. The therapist cannot do this for him, but he also CANNOT DO THIS FOR HIMSELF. His only meaningful contribution is to present an example of one whose direction has been changed FOR him, and who NO LONGER BELIEVES IN NIGHTMARES OF ANY KIND. The light in HIS mind will therefore ANSWER the questioner, who MUST decide with God that there IS light BECAUSE HE SEES IT. And by HIS acknowledgment, THE THERAPIST KNOWS IT IS THERE.
