Why Do Liberals So Love Slavery?

As much as you have to appreciate Ann Coulter's ability to see through facade, and see things for what they really are, she seriously missed the boat in the above utterance on Democrats and slavery.

Slavery remains the system to which Democrats pledge allegiance, although the slaves are now known as taxpayers. And Republicans, who once actually did have moral clarity regarding freeing slaves, have long since joined Democrats, becoming an echo not a choice as they campaign for only a little less slavery: "We have to tax. That's the system. But let's not work the slaves ... er, tax the producers ... to death!"

No one dares talk about the question: "Why do we think taxation is evil, but necessary? Governments in the past have operated without taxation. Governments in the future will do very well financed by voluntary donations, just as churches do. Why does almost everyone think taxation is necessary?

Maybe it's because in 1848, at least 15 years before the slaves of southern plantation operators were freed in America, another wannabee slave master in Germany published his Communist Manifesto which hoodwinked huge majorities of "intellectuals" into believing that workers do not voluntarily say "yes" or "no" to employers in a free market, but are oppressed.

Karl Marx's answer to this imagined oppression? Let's try actual oppression. He proposed oppressive taxation, oppressive credit regulation in the hands of a central bank, oppressive state rules for transportation and communication, oppressive controls over agriculture and manufacturing, and oppressive government-run "eduction."

If that sounds like the Democratic Party platform and the "me tooism" the Republican Party has been echoing, then you've got a pretty good idea of how influential Karl Marx has been. And if it sounds like slavery ... keep quiet about your slavery, because Karl Marx also called for confiscation of the property of all rebels.

So Ann Coulter hasn't yet seen the entire picture. But in her defense, her sarcastic exposure of "liberal" insanity and the world of illusion which "liberals" live in has certainly been a breath of fresh air for those who really oppose slavery.

Is satirical uncovering of illusion going to be enough to free the slaves? Maybe so. But there is also a slight stirring toward freedom within the Republican Party. Mitt Romney, frantically demonized by the Marxist-influenced media, has talked about slashing government in half and dramatically lowering taxes; and Ron Paul is campaigning on eliminating the Marxist income tax altogether.

In his revelation for the 21st Century, A Course in Miracles, Jesus Christ teaches that freedom, not slavery, is our birthright as children of God:

Let us not worship idols, nor believe in any laws idolatry would make to hide the freedom of the Son of God. He is not bound except by his beliefs. Yet what he is is far beyond his faith in slavery or freedom. He is free because he is his Father’s Son. And he can not be bound unless God’s Truth can lie, and God can will that He deceive Himself.
